The First-Year Experience staff is here to help make your transition to college life as smooth as possible, help you thrive here at Susquehanna and inspire you to become your best selves! We plan and coordinate events especially for you throughout your first year.
As an enrollment requirement, Take Flight: Orientation occurs immediately before the fall semester starts to welcome all new students to the Susquehanna University community. Orientation, move-in, and convocation start the Thursday before classes start each year. Our goal is to make the new River Hawks feel at home from the moment they arrive and ready to “take flight” on their first semester! Our programs are designed to ensure all students, parents, families, and supporters are welcomed and connect to campus resources at Susquehanna University.
